Gordon Ramsay's father-in-law has claimed that he was fired as CEO of his company.
Last month, Gordon Ramsay Holdings announced that the chef had ended his 12-year working partnership with Chris Hutcheson.
But the 62-year-old now alleges it was not a mutual decision.
'I was sacked and I don't understand it,' says Chris. 'We could have sat down and had an amicable divorce and worked things out if we were to part company.
'But he didn't do that. The reason behind all of this is Gordon, and not me, as far as I'm concerned.'
Since the announcement, there have been unsubstantiated rumours that the rift occured because Chris took loans of almost £1.5m from the company.
He strongly denies any wrongdoing and explains that any loans were paid back.
'There was certainly no question of me stealing money,' Chris tells The Mail On Sunday. 'Every penny in that company, coming in or going out, is recorded for all to see.'
Chris - who is now taking legal action against GRH for wrongful dismissal - says he hasn't spoken to his daughter Tana or son-in-law Gordon, 44, since.
'It is a hugely awkward situation with my daughter married to him,' he adds. 'How would it feel for any man to lose a daughter? And that is what has happened.'
Gordon and Tana have released a statement in response to Chris' claims.
'It has been made very clear to Chris why his position with the company had become untenable,' it reads.
'As far as Gordon and Tana are concerned this is a private business and family matter and they won't be responding publicly.'
