BMX star TJ Lavin is fighting for his life in a Las Vegas hospital this evening after a botched attempt at a stunt gone terribly wrong sent the biker enthusiast to the ER in critical condition on Thursday night.

Lavin, the host of MTV’s The Challenge, suffered brain swelling and other extensive injuries after he crashed the bike he was riding during a jump during the Dew Tour event in Sin City. Lavin, 33, was taken to the University Medical Center hospital, where he remains in a medically induced coma.
